Found this quick tutorial on how to do easy but complex rollovers in CS4. Enjoy!

Someone has asked about some more complicated rollovers in Dreamweaver, so I thought I’d make a quick tut on this. The task at hand is trying to make one image, when rolled over, cause another image to switch.

1. Name both images. In the properties box (CTRL+F3 if it’s not visible), to the left of the width and height boxes is where you enter the name (in MX atleast). We’ll name our images static (the one we want to rollover) and rollover (the one we want to change).

2. Select the image “static”. In the Design panel, go to the Behaviors tab. (Press Shift+F3 if it’s not visible). Select the + button and go down to swap image. You should see your two named images in the list. Here’s where the difference between simple rollovers is: you want to select the image “rollover”, and then select the image that you want to replace “rollover” on mouseover. You’re doing all of this while the image “static” is selected, so you’re telling Dreamweaver that upon “static’s” mousover, change “rollover”. After you select a mouseover for rollover, make…

Windows 7 Beta
Microsoft has recently unveiled its latest version of its OS entitled Windows 7 (the seventh windows release). To the untrained eye 7 looks like a copy of Vista dressed up for the prom but Windows 7 does bring some actual improvements to the table. Enhanced OS navigation, stronger security and a whole slew of gadgets, add-ons and tweaks. Installing the Beta is fairly straight forward – burn the ISO to a DVD, boot your computer to the DVD and install. If you are only running a single partition or hard drive be warned that new windows installations will wipe your hard drive, be cautious when installing a new OS. To check out more information about whats new in Windows 7 and to try out the Beta for yourself (Beta is avaiable through August 09) visit the direct download page from Microsoft here.

Meta Tags

Conitinuing on from our previous blog post about website titles, today we will be discussing website meta tags and the importance they serve in search engine listings. The meta tag comes in a variety of forms however the basic meta tag is used to let search engines know what the content on your website is. Some search engines will use meta tags to display content under your website title in the search engine results page. Do a yahoo search and you will see a description underneath a website title, this information is in conjunction with your meta tag. The meta tag is inserted into your head section of an html document.

It is always good to be concise when you are writing your meta tags. Some search engines will limit the amount of characters shown in this tage so it is good to keep it short and sweet. The article below frpm searchenginewatch.com describes some meta tag techniques and tricks and overall explains there purpose.

We thought it would be nice to offer a showcase of another phone thats been trying to compete in the same arena as the iphone, this phone being Googles try at the apple phone market. While I can say we have never officially used one of the androids we not certain we will ever give up our iphones. Maybe it is possibly due to the millions of apps available for any reason or circumstance.Enough chit chat, lets take a look at this review of the Motorola Android. This review comes from New York and Matt Buchanan of www.businessinsider.com. Hope you enjoy!

It’s the best phone on Verizon, android 2.0 the second best smartphone you can buy, period. It’s flawed, deeply in some ways. But it’s the second best phone around, on the best network around.
Droid is a champion of possibilities: for Motorola, for Verizon, for Android 2.0. It exists to show you what each of them can really do. You can kind of think of it like a Super G1, laying out what it means to…
